Description
Picture a tall glass, loads of ice, a good tonic fizzing away. That first sip of Howling Owl is all bright orange blossom and clean pine-y juniper, soft and aromatic rather than sharp. It's a craft gin that doesn't try too hard. Easy company on a Friday balcony, classy enough when you want to impress, and we'll have it at your door before the ice melts.
Taste notes
The nose leads with orange blossom, properly floral and pretty, like someone left a citrus tree blooming in the room. Underneath sits the juniper, that classic gin pine note, present but polite. The palate is smooth and rounded, with warm baking spice from cassia bark and coriander, a touch of earthy angelica holding it together, and a gentle orange-peel lift. The finish is soft and clean, a quiet juniper hum rather than a slap. Aromatic, not aggressive.
